About Kari

Kari Williams

Education is Kari Williams’ lifelong passion.

Kari, a Tri-Cities native, earned her Master’s degree in Education while working as a public school teacher in Utah. Now, as a stay-at-home mother of five young children, she continues to volunteer in her children's classrooms. While serving a two-year term on RSD’s Instructional Materials Committee, she fought for developmentally appropriate curriculum to match our community’s family values. Kari is eager to utilize her experiences as an educator, community member, and a parent to provide invaluable perspectives to the school board in finding solutions to complex issues that affect our children’s education.

Kari’s approachable demeanor will foster good lines of communication between the school board, teachers, parents, and our community. Through her teaching experience, Kari has seen that these communication lines are critical for a smooth-functioning district that works well for everyone. Kari strongly believes that teachers, paraeducators, parents, and staff who work directly with our children should be the guiding force behind district decisions.

Kari has no political agenda, is uniquely qualified for this position, and is committed to using her expertise in education to serve our community.
